  • Do eyelash extensions hurt?
Eyelash extensions should not hurt when applied correctly. They are applied with professional tools by isolating one natural lash, and adhering one or a fan of extensions without ever touching your skin. This ensures that every natural lash is free to grow out safely. The results are comfortable, damage-free eyelash extensions.
  • Do eyelash extensions look fake?
Eyelash extensions can be applied to look any way that you desire. Most reputable lash artists will be able to give you your desired look. You can choose to have shorter natural lashes, large dramatic lashes, etc. Typically speaking, eyelash extensions don’t look fake unless that is the look that you are going for. You can choose the length ranging from 7mm to 14mm.
  • How long do eyelash extensions last?
Most eyelash extension adhesives have a bond time of anywhere from 1-5 weeks. However, they will only last as long as your natural lash does. Like all hair on the human body, your eyelashes grow in stages. It is estimated that you lose 1-5 natural lashes per day, which is why an infill is recommended every 2-3 weeks.
  • Do eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions won't damage your natural lashes. Lash artists will apply to only one natural lash at a time with complete isolation technique, and will apply an extension that is the appropriate weight and length to ensure the integrity of your natural lash. This ensures that every natural lash is free to move and grow out safely preventing any damage. However, any picking, pulling or rubbing will be damaging! Always be gentle :)
  • Can I wear makeup with my eyelash extensions?
You definitely can wear make-up with your eyelash extensions. When selecting eye makeup, it is best to go with extension safe and oil free, none waterproof make-up. When removing your make-up, use a daily cleanser and/or make-up remover that is completely oil free. Do not use cotton and always remember to be gentle! It is recommended that mascara application is kept to a minimum with your eyelash extensions. This is because of the removal process which can make your lash extension life shorter. If you choose to use a mascara on top of extensions, keep away from any oil based, waterproof or fiber mascaras. An oil free mascara that is extension safe would be ideal. This will ensure your mascara does not interfere with the bond of the eyelash extension adhesive and is easily removable.
  • Can I go swimming with my eyelash extensions?
Swimming or any kind of activities that involve excessive amounts of moisture near your eyelash extensions such as sauna, hot baths, sweating a lot through exercise or a lot of tearing will inevitably result in reducing the life of your eyelash extensions. On a more positive note, such activities won't necessarily damage your natural lashes. So yes, you can go swimming but just keep in mind that it may make your extensions not last as long.
  • How can I make my lashes last longer?
The number one rule is to always be gentle! Any picking, pulling, scratching or rubbing will make your lashes fall off quicker and might even damage your own natural lashes. Always keep in mind that any oils will break down the adhesive, therefore, make sure all your facial products do not contain any oil. Keep eye makeup to a minimum, especially mascara, due to the removal process of eye makeup that involves a lot of rubbing and wiping it can make your extension life shorter. And remember to try and sleep on your back! :)
  • What is the difference between Natural. Classic, Hybrid and Russian?"
"Classic" lashes are one extension lash applied individually to each natural lash. "Russian" lashes are fans of finer extension lashes handmade on the spot and applied to each natural lash. In comparison, the "Russian" set gives you a softer, fuller look and a lighter feel than the Individual due to the many fine lashes being used. The "Hybrid", is a set that brings the best of both worlds! A mixture of both the Classic and Russian to give you that glam and the soft thickness all at the same time. If you're after a natural and light look, try the "Natural" set. This is a toned down version of a Classic+Hybrid. So pretty!
  • What should I do BEFORE my lash appointment?
Skipping on eye makeup on your lash appointment day and coming in with nice clean lashes, would actually make a big difference in maximizing the life of your extensions. A lot of eye makeups are difficult to remove. This not only wastes precious lash application time but also may interfere with the adhesive to not fully perform due to traces of makeup in your lashes. Give your lashes a good wash with warm water and oil free face wash before your lash appointment! :) Being on time maximizes your lash application time. Application time equals the amount of lash extensions that is applied. And the fuller the extensions the longer they will last! For best results and for safety reasons, it is important that you are very calm and relaxed during your appointment. Be prepared to stay very still for about an hours time! Maybe hold off on that coffee until after your lash appointment! :)
  • What should I do AFTER my lash appointment?
How long your lash extensions last depends heavily on how well you take care of them. Do not touch your lashes in the first 4+ hours of your appointment. Keep your lashes completely dry for at least 4+ hours after your appointment. Never get any oils near your eyes/lashes. The oil will break down the adhesive. Minimal eye makeup is recommended. You can wash your face and shower normally however, always be gentle. No rubbing or scrubbing. Never try to pick the lashes off or remove them yourself. When sleeping try to sleep on your back. Do not push or squash the lashes into the pillow. You can use a disposable mascara wand to gently place your lashes back in place. Swimming, sauna, sweating, tearing will lessen the life of your extensions. Remember to be extremely gentle at all times!
  • What if I have an allergic reaction?
In extremely rare cases of an allergic reaction, the extensions will be removed as soon as possible free of charge. Common allergic reaction symptoms are redness and swelling around the eyes which normally show up on the next day of your lash appointment. It usually clears up by the next few days of removal, however if symptoms persist please contact your doctor for proper treatment.
